bad points for many who dont use much the enterprise features of eseries. Dam* thing again for nokia. They dont focus in screen enlargement. E75= 2.4" ohhh that sucks...its 2009 now how come they go back in time...

They both seem pretty "meh" to me to be honest. Then again I havent seen the E55 upclose so maybe that'll change once I do lol.

So Nokia is going to keep oled screens elusively on N-Series phones? and they are dropping that proprietary 2.5mm head jack off E-Series for good (I hope.) do you notice this trend too? the specs are impressive, but for an E-series with all the connectivity features I thought they were gearing these to toward heavy emailers so the lack of a QWERTY may turn people to the E55 instead.

Well, thank God that's the reason there're so many types along the Nokia's ;)
Now and then, let's say every year or two, Nokia releases a phone which I'm really interested in. The E52/E55 is one of them (they are indeed exactly the same except for the keybord). I never saw a Nokia E-series phone with so many great specs. Besides the long battery live and the small size and the 'normal' smartphone features like wifi and a-gps, this phone is also one of the first E-series phones with the totally renewed email interface, support for WMV-video's (finally) and support for N-gage. I do not know the build quality of this phone, but actually I don't understand the low price.
This will definately be my next Nokia ;)

On the video at 0:42, what is that beside the 3.5mm jack? A 1200-ish flash light or something?

I still have my E51, so comparing it to E52, I wouldn't upgrade. I've never had any problems with my E51 battery life, so longer battery life on E52 isn't spectacular.
And I'm not sure if it's just me, but it doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the E-series. Maybe it's just missing that "shine"..

I am using Nokia E51 at the moment and was thinking of buying E55, but i think Nokia E52 is a better choice. I really liked the design. But i wonder if i would be able to use my applications for E51 on E52 because i don't want to loose my Trippo and Vopium.

The E52 is exactly what I was looking for! A GPS, WiFi, S60, fast HSPA, long battery life etc. Build quality should be good, I hope. I am still missing my old 6310i and this will be a worthy replacement! I still have my N73, sold my N82 (too bricky and creaky) and I am using the E66 in the moment but can not get over the short battery life it has!

this step of nokia is going to hole..they try to reach the 2nd or 3rd spot for the world's top manufacturer..dey dont even think that they are on the # 1...
Nokia think again....2.4" is just like a soup for many rivals..

E-Series are business phones, designed for long talk time and business features (like blackberry connect, exchange/push email, all possible types of connectivity and calling features (like adding it to an existing call routing environment) and security (data encryption, remote lock, remote erase...). Also important is how long does the battery live when there is a permanent (push) email connection to your company's mail server. I wonder if these times are for real... we will see
If you want "shine", a kickass screen for games or other media features you'd better go to the N-Series. But If you need a phone for your daily business that you can rely on then E-Series is your thing.
And as for people that need larger screens... you can NOT edit an excel sheet on a cellphone, neither on a 2,4" screen nor on a 5" screen.

1.) why is it that nokia e55 has 60mb internal memory while the nokia e51 has it bigger 130mb? 2.) why did they made the nokia e55's internal memory capacity more than half smaller than e51? 3.) what is/are the advantages and disadvantages of these different memory capacities? 4.) what if i have many softwares? where should i install it so it will still run fast? 5.) will that 60mb internal memory decrease/be affected still if i install in the external memory many softwares as much as i like? 6.) what is NAND/RAM for?

I would like to add something in the specs, the ARM 11 600 MHz Processor! Which is the fastest CPU among the Nokia phones.Infact,even the flagship model N97 boasts mere 434 Mhz Processor!

A normal phone with a keypad (ie buttons) that is pocketable cannot have a large screen. These are the thinest smartphones in the world. 2.4 is plenty for anybody who just wants a small phone that has smartphone functionality.

Just think this will get over shadowed by the Nokia E75. Glad to see the battery getting some focus as they have not been keeping up with the advancements in mobile technology. $ or 5 years ago when handsets were simple phones did last up to week, now we are lucky to get through the day.

True. I used to take my phone out of town for the weekend and not worry about bringing the charger. Now one day is all i get. These smartphone look like they'd last all week long.

Yup, it has become a habit to automatically plug my phone to the charger whenever I'm near my desk so that the phone is fully charged when I go out.

Thanks God there's Nokia out there. They make phones. An object some people use to make calls. I'm sick and tired of the iPhone clone rush. Touchscreens are fancy demoers, but useful phones have keys in them. I hate liliputian qwerty keyboards as well. Most people I know text on T9 faster than any qwerty (on screen or physical), let alone dial direct numbers. After one year of using an E51, I'll be happy to upgrade to the E52's battery life, bigger screen, helpful GPS and no-adapters-needed 3.5mm headphones jack,to name just a few features I like.

I think Nokia E52 is a business phone Particulary it's batery time is amazing up to 23 days stand by time . It can be also integrates seamlessly with corporate telephony systems, effectively complementing or replacing the need for a desk phone which is great .
