Hiya yeah i'd like to update to N95 silver version handset from the horrible Orange branded software,my phone has lots of software issues & won't charge properly either ect,is it poss to do this ? Thanks...james

I was wondering if the software update is the same for phones made in china. I remember reading somewhere N95 that are made in china cannot be updated.
If it is possible to update the above mentioned phone are there any performance difference from the previous version???

Hi, I have an unlocked vodaphone n95 and it is on version 11.0.026 or whatever and i wondered if i could use the updated v20 or 21 firmware on it? when i go onto the updater it just says i have the upto date version but i know that version 20 or 21 is out so how can this be the latest? please contact me with any ideas or information many thanks djsp01@gmail.com

There is a way to change the N95 product ID and then download the unbranded firmware. I have done this and im happy to share this with anyone who is interested?

It's not a 21 valve engine but for all i know the new V21 Firmware update for the N95-1 is sure gonna rock..considering that Nokia is going to have to add lots of new stuff in the firmware like the Search, N-Gage and key press bug.
But the problem is that the firmware pic has been dates as 10th October! How come no one's got it still remains a mystery...

I have nokia n95 after i changed the SIM card the Phone can be powered on for 2-3 seconds with a Nokia handshake logo appearing then go white then black. Please help me what can I do to fix my problem.

I firmware show on my phone is v10.0.018 I tryed many time to update it said my firmware is up to date there is no update.

No Pal its not a rumour theres a website were you can make pre-orders for the N95i also i have just bought a Black fascia set off Ebay an now my N95 look totally Brilliant an just want the Keypads in Black an the top an bottom parts that fit the top an bottom also in Black an it will look identical to the N95i,i just keep looking on Ebay an asking the sellers to make them an hope the make them soon

New firmware available now i used the official Nokia website a on check for software availabilty i put in the code 0534844 an it said get it an now its 12.0.013 an the phones alot faster not sure about the battery yet,Nokia N95 in Black also been shown on www.mobile-review.com an its got 8gb of internal memory,i will even get this one or buy the Black Fascia set an get it on my N95,Please Nokia stop releasing your mobiles in Silver as Black looks more elegant

I got the same problem as Kent. After the update it just keeps crashing and going to the Nokia screen. I foolishly didnt make a backup of my previous version :(. If anyone has managed to solve this problem, please let me know. Also if anyone has a backup of the previous firmware that you could send me, please let me know also :P

After I upgrade my firmware, I noticed the following problems.

1) Camera screen looks darker than before. The photos taken previously would appear darker on gallery.The photos look the same as before if you load them on PC but it's really hard to judge the quality of the photo on the phone screen.

2) Whenever I activate the previously paried bluetooth handsfree, the phone crashes but if I go to the phone and connect it to the handsfree, that would work. I then reset phone setting, then repair the two from scratch,it then would work.

Otherwise the phone seems to be more stable than before. Hopefully the next firmware will solve the problem. NOKIA PLEASE TAKE NOTE.

Anybvody has the same problems?
